Our story

We founded Fiona Wall Properties in 2013 as the result of a simple observation: Canberrans want to sell and rent properties quickly and for the best price, without feeling like another number in a queue.

 

After 16 years working in local real estate, Fiona Wall could see that sellers and renters were ready for change. The standard, one-size-fits-all approach to sales was no longer enough to keep clients happy.

 

Fiona knew homeowners wanted the peace of mind that comes with engaging a reputable real estate agent. At the same time, she recognised that larger agencies were often too busy to get to know clients or offer highly customised services. And so Fiona Wall Properties was born.

Before your property is listed

Your agent will:

  • Visit your property
  • Conduct a comparative market analysis to set price expectations
  • Help you to arrange pre-purchase building and compliance and and pest inspection reports
  • Help you to arrange an energy efficiency rating (EER) statement – this is the law in the ACT
  • We will contact your solicitor to arrange a property sale contract
  • Take you through photography and marketing options
  • Discuss ‘home styling’ options
  • Organise photography
  • Prepare property flyer

First week on the market

Your agent will:

  • Put up a ‘For sale’ sign
  • Submit property listing with photos to real estate websites
  • Conduct the first open house
  • Conduct personal viewings for people who cannot attend scheduled weekday and weekend open house sessions
  • Keep you updated about all viewings

 

Ongoing

Your agent will:

  • Handle incoming calls and schedule showing appointments
  • Keep you updated about all viewings
  • Request that all offers be provided in writing
  • Share all offers with you
  • Recommend counter-offers
  • Review price based on market conditions
  • Handle professional negotiations if you decide to consider or accept an offer

When your property is sold

Your agent will:

  • Send out all sales arrangements, instructions and letters to solicitors and other parties
  • Distribute monies as per solicitors’ instructions
  • Follow the sales process through to settlement
  • Ask you how we did and request your feedback
  • Seek your permission to publish your testimonial on our social media and website.
